Challenge #4 One More Round of Vintage-Inspired Mixed Media Cards


Hello, everyone! Here's one last reminder to let you all know that there's just a little over 3 days left to enter the October challenge. Have you checked out the gallery? Thirty-six artful entries and counting...it's got to be our most eclectic collection of mixed media cards to date!

Distress Stain "faux watercolour" background, layered stamping, doodling around the edges, embossing enamel details in gold and white, blue and white ink splatters and layered old/vintage embellishments

Stamped and sponged background in Distress inks, stenciled harlequin design with glass bead gel, candles stamped, colored with Copics and fussy-cut

Tim Holtz paper as background. Used punchenella to create dots with distress inks. Distressed and inked the sides. Added metal brad from Stampin' Up! and some twine.

Chalkboard technique combined with distress inks and some texturing can create a fun vintage look

Paper with a vintage Christmas design embossed, distressed, and sponged with chalk ink and PanPastel; stamped poinsettia colored with alcohol markers; background die-cut oval stamped with watermark ink and colored with PanPastel for a reverse resist effect; vellum laid over DP to soften images and colors; finished with a spattering of antique bronze distress paint

Stencil made with silhouette, paint, stamping, Versamark heat embossed, Spray mist and dry embossing
